Welcome! And I like the intro..."i still like the one i've got"!!

I shouldve followed my dream of being a heavy truck mechanic when I was 18!, got sucked into the family construction business instead....13 years later I still think about being a diesel mechanic. Hard to go to school now with a wife and 4 month old!

Glad to have here!

Big'un, most likely you have. I'm usually running errands before I go in at 3:30...

I love a cool morning when it goes into high idle...sounds like a 747 is taxiing in my back yard.....not so sure,my neighbors like it but oh well!

Duramax's sound good too I think! funny how one v8 diesel sounds different then another! Kinda like how small block fords sound different than small block chevy's I guess.
This... I have an early 04 so its got the 03 turbo that whistles like a Mofo and straight piped its loud at idle and driving. everyone hates it but me and other 6.0 owners but i dont care haha. might get a tad louder with the 4" TBE and powermax

I LOVE the 03 turbo!!

I've heard 2 trucks with the powermax, one was wicked loud the other not much louder that stock?? Not sure why the difference, some say the tuning make a difference but I don't know for sure.

I did love the sound of my 6.0 6 speed running up third and fourth gear at high rpms. Still turns my head when I here one now

6.0 Straight piped has a very distinct sound at WOT.
