Default Transmission is toast!

Just took the truck in this morning because it felt like it 2nd gear was slipping. turns out the clutches were going bad. So our guy is recommending a 'Jasper' upgraded transmission. All new with upgraded torque converter, cluches, and valve body. I know most would recommend a BTS, but 1500 bucks in shipping just isnt something I can swing right now. Does anyone have experience with Jaspers? I can only find a few reviews on other forums and they arent so good, but its mainly warranty issues on the remans, and stock replacements. I cant find anything on the upgraded trannys. My guy swears by them, says he puts them in lefts and right, even put it in his own 2000 7.3. weve been taking our trucks and trailers to him for 10+ years, one of few people I trust doing work on my truck.
