the owner of the shop that did my tires for me drives a truck kinda like yours, 'cept he did the opposite and his has around 10 or so inches of lift. its pretty rediculous.
out of curiousity, why do you want to lower it and do the cops not bother you about your front plate being covered? |
Just wanted to go back to stock height.. Better fuel mileage. Lol.. Cops here dont really mind about the plate, if it were a rookie, now thats a different story.. But so far it's been all good.. Knock on wood.

I hated getting pulled over when i was stationed in TX... the ole "slip in the military ID" trick didnt work well there. most of them were ex-military themselves so not alot of leeway with them.

What size tire are you wanting? thats whats gonna make the difference for you.
you can probably get away with a 2" level and some 33x12.50's |

if you left it where its at you could probably do 35's. 33x13.5's on 20x12 -44mm offset wheels will look sick but you might have to be slightly leveled up front. im at 20x10 -24mm and 305/55/20's and stock height and i rub on the rear inner fender liner when turning. your axles are wider and have better turning radius so id figure similar issues with the fender liners.

That truck is perfect. Not to tall not to low. I say leave it.
