Also doing a Regulated Return from Dozers, and a DF165 Airdog. Only Difference is the injectors, I am only going 155/50's I think for now, cause I still need to be able to tow max tow rating ++++. Like a couple time a month I am at GCVW of 32-34,000lbs moving a friends skytrax on a 35' dual tandem, Its typically never more than 15 to 20 miles and never over 50mph.

My daily trailer is about 8500lbs, and twice a week I tow around 15,000lbs. I average 30,000 miles a year towing those two trailers, so i figure I should just stick with 155/30's or maybe 50%'s?

yea the guy thats got my spare heads right now for flux and machining is doing 155/30's since he tows all the time. it sounds like you have a good setup but id skip the airdog. stop pump will be good for the 155's and if not id go with the aeromotive a1000

EGR Delete $200
ARP's $450
Gaskets $250
Coolant Flush to ELC and Coolant Filter - $300ish

thats doing all the work yourself but yea they have a list now of what you need and what you need to watch for

maintenance is KEY. theres a good thread on the org about how many 6.0s are still running around on TTY bolts and running tunes.

And no engine sounds better then a straight piped 6.0!!!! IMO that is.

The main issues were there was no service manual when the first 03/04 truck rolled in with egr etc related issues. BUT the 6.0 is ALOT easier to make power with. over 400hp with a tune and egr delete

Love the whistle and then the romp at WOT

Glad they passed for ya, I had a set off an engine I bought for cores, I was hoping to do the same thing...get them checked, and ready so I didnt have down time when I do mine....but they were both cracked! So now its back to down time and just have to have mine checked when I take them off!

Agjake11 03-16-2012 12:25 AM

yea me too. i think i might sell the ones off my truck and give the buyer option to have them machined first that way its not a gamble.

i didnt want to have the down time so im getting every thing up front

Bdons-SD 03-16-2012 12:27 AM

Wish I had the cash to build mine up like you are man... Ive got enough boost to satisfy me for now though.

Agjake11 03-16-2012 12:30 AM

its all about planning haha. its now or never for me since were buying a house this summer haha.

Bdons-SD 03-16-2012 12:32 AM

Thats my probem.. I already have a house, and lookin to build a second. no free cash for the truck.

Agjake11 03-16-2012 12:33 AM

yup. all the extra money will go to that after this is done.

Bdons-SD 03-16-2012 12:35 AM

Ill have mine built up bigger and faster than yours.... in about 20 years ha ha

Agjake11 03-16-2012 12:38 AM

Lulz at 20 yrs. you could get a 6.7 for cheap by then

Bdons-SD 03-16-2012 12:43 AM

Shyeah.. Our trucks will be classics by then.

Agjake11 03-20-2012 11:32 PM

Strictly diesel Fuel pressure adapter setup

http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...S/03b26ebe.jpg

thing i cant use it after the studs so it might be for sale soon

06VT365 03-21-2012 12:17 AM

What brand gauge you running for fuel psi?
I have glowshift....they are so so. seems like my fuel psi reads good for about 6 months, then starts to read high and slowly creeps higher, sender keeps going bad, been through 3 sending units now and it starting again!
But you get what you pay for! I bought them cause they were cheap, and now I am paying for it!

Saving up now for the edge eas so I can read it with my cts.

Agjake11 03-21-2012 12:25 AM

Got a glow shift black 7 color from a buddy for 40 bucks. I will be going with a quad or triple pillar of isspro ev2's later but for now this will do.

Couldn't bring myself to drop 200 on the edge setup plus I like the look of the pillar gauges.

Bdons-SD 03-21-2012 01:54 AM

Pillar gauges FTW!!

06VT365 03-21-2012 08:10 AM

I love pillar gauges too, I currently have a quad pod with egt, water temp, oil temp, and fuel psi. But I could never get the water and oil temp gauges to read correctly. I have tried several different locations but just cant get it right. I was really want to check the deltas between water and oil temp to see if my oil cooler was ok or not so I finaly splurged for the insight cts.

The glowshift gauge will be good for ya, if it starts reading funky just give em a call. They have great customer service. And even if you need a new sending unit its only like $15.

I love the look of their gauges, just wish the sensors were better quality....but great customer service helps!

Agjake11 03-21-2012 10:06 AM

dont get me wrong i love my insight cts but i need a more visible boost gauge and one thats not being fooled by the computer/tune.

wanted at least fuel press and boost so i said ill get a triple at least and add HPOP

snapped a pic of the gauge mocked up in the pod. the dash holds the pod on there pretty tight and had to make sure the gauge would clear the steering wheel.

westtnfx4 03-21-2012 10:23 AM

Y U NO Have steering wheel cover :yuno:

Agjake11 03-21-2012 10:32 AM

lawl the steering wheel has been on its way out for a while now and i said F it. one of these days ill drop the money on replacing it but i tried a cover when i first got it and the generic ones at autozone etc were too small.

Agjake11 03-25-2012 02:33 PM

Installed the fuel pressure gauge Saturday morning and it was very simple actually. And thanks to ford for running wires through the firewall and leaving both ends free only have one wires passing through the firewall and easily disconnected on the other side.

Pressure never got. Below 60 psi. And I also loaded my geadhead srl+ tune that's got more boost than the srl I was running. Playing the game of how long till I can lift the heads hahaa

http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...S/6c353bea.jpg

06VT365 03-25-2012 02:38 PM

psi looks good. When I first put mine on last year it was 50 at idle and would drop below 40 at WOT!! So I did the blue spring upgrade and it has bee. Right at 72 at idle, and will drop to 55ish at wot running my looney tune. Seems to be a bit low still at WOT to me.

Agjake11 03-25-2012 03:56 PM

Yea this is with the blue spring installed. Haven't gone really WOT yet as its not exactly safe with this tune haha. Didn't want to lift the Rafa just yet haha. But tells me that the stock pump is good for now and I can hold off on the a1000

Always nice to be able to hold of a bit longer!

Agjake11 03-25-2012 04:13 PM

You bet. Especially since we're gonna be buying a house sooner than we were expecting to but it'll be nice to have a place to keep my stuff hah

westtnfx4 03-25-2012 06:52 PM

Looks good jake....I gotta get some gauges in mine.....

Bdons-SD 03-25-2012 11:19 PM

I want MOAR gauges.

MOAR!!!
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...15018_Ford.jpg

Agjake11 03-25-2012 11:44 PM

lawl. i think i might do a triple overhead pod instead of a pillar possibly.

Bdons-SD 03-26-2012 01:24 PM

The one up by the mirror? Those are pretty slick.

Big'un 03-26-2012 09:43 PM

them around the instrument cluster look dope

Agjake11 03-26-2012 10:09 PM

Yea above the mirror. I think it might look clean and it'll let me keep my a pillar handle also.

I like the ones that they have for by the cluster but it cuts off the gas gauge etc.

Agjake11 05-04-2012 08:29 PM

Updates!!!!!! truck is going in next week. heads will be back in my possesion on monday and i ordered a bunch of my fuel system parts hoses and fittings today.

UTAHFORD 05-04-2012 09:04 PM

sweet man thats a killer looking truck

06VT365 05-04-2012 09:58 PM

Love the warrens!! I hope to be getting my injectors in a few more weeks! Camt decide between 175/50's or 155/50's. Prob be safe and go 155 cause I tow frequently.

Cant beat warrens price and customer service!

Bigbluediesel08 05-05-2012 02:58 AM

Nice!! Can't wait to start my build.
