Ive been using mothers... It works, but takes lots of elbow grease. I might try that stuff. The clear coat on my wheels on my jetta has some peelin. might do what you did with the paint thinner.

Big'un 04-04-2012 10:25 PM

that dam mothers is to much work .......

Bdons-SD 04-04-2012 10:30 PM

Its good for anything you can get a buffer on, but its a PITA for wheels,

yz85rider2002 04-04-2012 10:36 PM

Looks like I'll be getting my powerball and some meguiars this weekend

crackerjack 04-07-2012 12:19 PM

crackerjack 04-07-2012 12:20 PM

westtnfx4 04-07-2012 01:41 PM

You can lift a truck 4" and still pull a goose neck just fine. 4" with 35's is a good look.

yz85rider2002 04-07-2012 01:50 PM

Eh idk yet man. It's still up in there if I'll lift it or not

westtnfx4 04-07-2012 06:38 PM

Umm that's not much lift little buddy but you do what you want :peace:

06VT365 04-07-2012 07:13 PM

Looks good! I too would like to lift mine, I tow alot too but the real reason I havn't yet is I am in an out of my truck bed numerous times a day getting tools and putting tools away and after 13 years of roofing and construction my knees would kill me if made them work harder!......plus 2 of the lots I plow have carports and I only clear by about 2" right now!!

FWIW a buddy of mine has an 04 F350 with 4" lift and has no problems towing a gooseneck....just in case you change your mind!

Got any pics of this truck? May change my mind.

06VT365 04-07-2012 10:51 PM

This is the only one I could find. 04 F350 4' Lift pulling my 35' Gooseneck............oh and buy the way, he loaded the trailer not thinking aobut how much each sheet of OSB weighed....after towing it about 20 miles to the job he started to add up the weight....4 bunks of 1/2' 1 bunk 3/4 T&G Plywood, some shingles and other misc, had about 23,800lbs on the trailer!!! Plus trailer weight and truck weight......grossed close to 37,000lbs GCW.

So yes, you can tow heavy with a lift! Although he said he would never do it again!

06VT365 04-08-2012 09:32 AM

yz85rider2002 04-08-2012 09:41 AM
