Hmmm...I got a buddy that is restoring an old chevy that needs a heart!
That's a good price to
Thats a great price!
That is a heck of a deal! "get rid of the crappy 6.0 Ford powerturd engine" hmmmmmm why would anybody wanna do that?.....:Stupid Me:
:jester:
I might just consider a swap for that price!!! Then again maybe not.
As much as I love the Cummins motor, I Love my Allison trans. |
It'd be a nice starting place for a motor swap into an older project
You can build a non Allison tranny that will be Just as tough if not tougher.:challenge:
I love the shifting of the allison. It is the smartest transmission.... It knows what to do and right when to do it. Plus it's tough, and shift points are even.
I tell you what my built 48re is pretty smart. The way it shifts and when is a perfect match. It feels like it can't break :alone:
I havnt rode in a Dodge with the 48re. gonna have to now.
