My wife's uncle Herschel ran with Carl and several others in the 50's... uncle Herschel wrote the song in the early 50's on a paper sack. He sold it to Carl for $100, a custom pair of blue suede shoes, and a trip to Memphis... I have 2 people that will verify this...

Southern middle Tennessee here I've already introduced myself once but oh we'll if you know where wheelin in the country is I'm about 2 miles from there drive a red 2nd gen cummins with black cat stacks and a blue tailgate (Gta paint that it's how everybody knows me) planning a big party/ diesel get together on the farm here in June if enough people will come gonna grill out and boil a pot or two of sweet corn if y'all are interested let me know I've already got 3 or so on cummins forum I hope it works out I believe it will be fun
