should i???
thinking about trying the bumpers black plastidip soon before i would powder coat them.
heres a chop. thinking about trying it after we move later this month http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t.../plastidip.jpg |
I say leave it chrome. Im a big fan of chrome on the big trucks.

Not unless you do the grill to......
|
i agree with west. it'll look good if you do the grill too but if you don't that chrome grill is way outta place. but you could plastidip the bumpers and tap off all the edges on the grill and paint it black (gloss or flat). that will leave a little chrome while matching the rims
|
and you could crack open the head lights and do the same taping and everything to them to keep it flowing nice and smooth across the whole front end, if you did it right you could even blend the lights into the grill with the paint. make it look like you ordered a matching custom set off lights and grill
|
Yes grille would be fixed as well. If I did either ptm bumpers or black bumpers I'm thinking it would look best with a Harley grille with ptm surround and chrome center section.
The grille is on of the things that has kept me from doing something like this still. It's a tough piece to pic a color for really as it would look out of place black imo |
thats why i said do the tapin and paintin, cause with bumper black it would blend well and keep the pattern that you started with the 2 tone rims. just my opinion though. in the end its your baby and whatever makes YOU happy is all that matters
|
I would leave it chrome myself, or paint the bumper and grill tp match the truck color...like the sport package trucks used to have, they always looked good all matched.
|
Leave it chrome.. Black looks kinda off.

Makes it look like a XL
