Looked at couple different trucks today

So I have been thinking about the option of getting rid of one of my Superduty's for something different. Today was the first time I really started looking for anything.

Came across 2 trucks that peaked my curiousity....

2004 Ram 2500 6 speed, lifted, very nice and VERY CLEAN....30k actual miles

And a 2000 F650 Truck 7.3 6 speed 194k miles..sorry for the bad pic, its a pic of my computer screen :(

I probably wont end up with either of them, as the 650 is a bit impractical, as it wont even fit in my driveway! But I have always wanted to widen my drive, and have been considering starting an equipment transportation biz, and the 650 would be much more suited for that than my F350.

The Dodge is real nice, I mean REAL nice...but it way too much money for an 04 truck to me, even though it has really low miles. I can't bring myself to spend 30 grand on a 9 model year old truck!

Just thought I would share my finding with y'all. I will be giving it some thought over the weekend anyways.

As far as Ive read I havent seen any specs on the 650 with a 7.3, it says they have it with a 6.7 cummins with like 8 different ratings, the 6.8 triton 68 and a cat 6.2. I could be wrong though. theres not a lot of info on specs out there.

As far as equipment moving a 650 would be great.

Run from the CAT. Quickly. I can tell you from experience they are friggin nightmares to work on... and weak as a popcorn fart...

I have always wanted a 650. In 2000 I was told they came ith either a 7.3 a 5.9 cummins or the Cat. But I have know idea what the engine ratings are on the 7.3 in that chassis.

they are asking 15,000 for the 650. Pretty sure 13 cash would take it, if I room for it to sit awhile while I tried to get this transport biz going I would be more interested. It would definitly handle the 35' gooseneck with 20klbs safer than my 350 does ;)

Man, You sell that ugly a$$ brush guard of the dodge and she will be straight!
I'll agree I'd have to fight on the price a little, but hell it's only got 30,000 miles on it!!! :Whoa: It's not even broke in yet....and a 6-speed

Id go for the ferd, just because it's a dually and awesome. I really don't like the dodge 3rd gens unless they have a dually bed on them. The SRW look funny to me.

I looked everywhere to find a 7.3 spec on it and I couldn't find it. Doesn't mean it doesn't have one though ha ha.

Another guy told me its actually the T444E international motor put in medium duty internationals, and not the 7.3 out of a SD. Ya know, minor differences and tuning mostly. But everybody just says 7.3 cause it more recognizable name.
